Steps lead down into the shared gardens, which you are welcome to wander. Inside, the attractive bedroom is en-suite and there is a separate shower room - for 2 people you really are spoilt! You can choose to dine in either the large, bright kitchen or in the lounge, though on sunny days the decking would be the ideal choice. The sandy beach at Dawlish Warren is just over a mile away. Here you can enjoy traditional seaside entertainment or stroll along the dunes which include a 500 acre nature reserve where 180 species of birds are recorded every year. For golfers there are courses at Dawlish, Teignmouth and Exeter. At nearby Starcross you can catch a ferry across the River Exe to Exmouth, or visit the picturesque village of Cockwood, which has several fine inns and restaurants. The beautiful moorland landscape of Dartmoor National Park and the cathedral city of Exeter make two very different days out.
