Little Barn is situated in a rural location, close to the pretty village of Modbury, in the beautiful South Hams. Just one mile from the Erme Estuary and the sandy beach at Wonwell (pictured below), with the child friendly Dolphin Inn a leisurely walk from the door, this is a perfect destination for a family holiday. This delightful, semi-detached cottage dates back to the 18th century, when it was used as an open-fronted cart shed or linhay for the farmhouse next door, where the owners live.
Set in three acres of grounds, which includes a swing for the children, Little Barn is in a quiet, sunny position with wonderful views of the Devon countryside. Inside, the cottage retains many of its original features with whitewashed walls and beamed ceilings. Upstairs, the wooden floors and sloping ceilings add character and charm to the pretty, spacious bedrooms.

The patio, adjacent to the property, catches the morning sunshine, making this a lovely place to relax. The owner has a glassworks studio within the grounds and examples of her work are featured within Little Barn. For more information please visit smashing-glass.co.uk.

Nearest Coastline: The beaches of Wonwell, Mothecombe, Bigbury-on-Sea and Thurlestone.

Tourist Attractions: The National Trust properties of Buckland Abbey and Cotehele. Sharpham Vineyard, River Dart Country Park, Woodlands Adventure Park and Pennywell Farm. Dartmoor offers an amazing diversity of leisure activities including hiking, climbing, bird watching, cycling, walking and horse riding.

Short Breaks are available at many of our properties during low season and occasionally for late availability bookings.
Up to four nights - from 2/3 of the weekly rent. Five night bookings are available from around 70% of the weekly price.
