Little Barn is situated in a rural location, close to the pretty village of Modbury, in the beautiful South Hams. Just one mile from the Erme Estuary and the sandy beach at Wonwell, with the child friendly Dolphin Inn a leisurely walk from the door, this is a perfect destination for a family holiday. This delightful, semi-detached cottage dates back to the 18th century, when it was used as an open-fronted cart shed or linhay for the farmhouse next door, where the owners live. Set in three acres of grounds, which you are welcome to explore, Little Barn is in a quiet, sunny position with wonderful views of the Devon countryside. Inside, the cottage retains many of its original features with white-washed walls and beamed ceilings. The open plan lounge/diner is tastefully furnished with an electric woodburner to create a cosy atmosphere for the cooler evenings. Upstairs, the sloping ceiling and wooden floors add character and charm to the pretty, spacious bedrooms.

The patio, adjacent to the property, catches the morning sunshine, making this a lovely place to relax and enjoy the beautiful views. There are so many places to visit in this stunning area of Devon you can be guaranteed there will be something for everyone. The Dartmoor National Park is only seven miles away and offers a variety of activities to suit all ages. The market town of Kingsbridge is within easy reach and a visit to the coastal gems of Salcombe and Dartmouth will ensure a memorable day out. For both adults and children alike a visit to Plymouth's National Marine Aquarium will certainly be a hit!
