Set high on the cliffs overlooking Praa Sands,
Lesceave Cottage is a unique property with breathtaking views across
Mount’s Bay and wonderful gardens adjoining unspoilt Cornish
moorland. The cottage is full of character, combining chic features
with traditional furnishings and facilities. From the comfortable
lounge, guests can experience the most incredible views whatever the
weather or time of year; snuggle up beside the woodburner in cooler
weather or use the binoculars to watch the passing ships and
magnificent sunsets. The sheltered patio with garden furniture and
barbecue is perfect for relaxing on warm, summer evenings. Colourful
artwork adorns the walls and there are hundreds of interesting books
for guests to enjoy. Best suited to couples or families with older
children, guests can play boules or ball games on the large level
lawn or take the National Trust footpath to the beach below.
Praa Sands has a wonderful beach and is ideal for
safe bathing and surfing. Praa Sands Golf Course is nearby
and keen walkers can join this rugged stretch of the South West
Coast Path between Porthleven fishing village and Cudden Point. A visit to
Pengersick Castle, one of the most haunted buildings in Britain, is
not to be missed, along with the fascinating Goonhilly Satellite
Station, Poldark Mine or Trinity House Lighthouse Centre. For
culture, history and art enthusiasts numerous ancient sites,
museums, National Trust properties and galleries are within an easy
drive including The Minack open air theatre, Tate St Ives Gallery
and Barbara Hepworth Museum. |
