Jordan Cottage, in the heart of Boscastle, next door to
Jordan House,
is an historic cottage, full of character and within walking distance of
popular village pubs and restaurants. Boscastle is a wonderful place to
visit in every season and a perfect location for walkers, golfers,
surfers and photographers. Inside, the cottage is very traditional, with
white-washed stone walls, slate floors, a woodburner and bright, cottage
style furnishings. |

A CD player and selection of DVDs and videos are provided as the television
reception in the valley is not always good. The pretty, wooded cottage
garden slopes gently and has a table and chairs so you can sit and enjoy the
valley views to the soothing sound of the Rivers Valency and Jordan as they
make their way to the ancient, picturesque harbour. Boscastle has an ancient
natural harbour, complete with 'blow hole,' and a number of fine
restaurants, inns, shops, galleries and a Witches' museum to browse. From
the nearby coast path the views are spectacular, with a chance to see
dolphins, seals and Peregrine Falcons. Nearby attractions include King
Arthur's Castle and the beautiful St Nectans Glen at Tintagel. Sandy beaches
abound with Trebarwith Strand, Widemouth Bay, Crackington Haven, Polzeath
and Bossiney Cove, perfect for surfers, beachcombers and those wanting to
walk the coastal path. Day trip destinations include The Eden Project, The
Tate Gallery at St Ives and The Lost Gardens of Heligan. For a special treat
book a table at The Rick Stein Seafood Restaurant in Padstow. At Padstow or
Wadebridge you can join the cycle path on the traffic free and very scenic
Camel Trail.
