Location Map

About ten miles west of St Ives stands this pretty, stone
built, barn conversion. Jenny's Cottage is part of a traditional Cornish
beef farm, half a mile from the sea and within the West Penwith
Environmentally Sensitive Area. The spectacular coastal road passes through
the romantic villages of Zennor and Nancherrow and this area inspired the
author Rosamund Pilcher. There are extensive sea and countryside views from
the cottage and the farm. Jenny’s Cottage is surprisingly spacious; in the
lounge there is a charming, inglenook fireplace with a woodburning stove.
Upstairs, the pretty bedroom is decorated in soft, romantic colours. The
lawned garden has a patio and garden furniture. The nearby coastal footpath
will take you to the sandy beach at Portheras, to Boat Cove or Pendeen Watch
Lighthouse. In St Ives you can visit the Tate Gallery and wander through the
narrow, cobbled streets and watch artists at work or perhaps spend an
evening at the open air Minack Theatre, which is dramatically set into the
cliffs at Porthcurno. From Penzance there are day trips to the Isles of
Scilly and of course, the Land's End Experience is not to be missed.
