Surrounded by acres of rolling fields on the Devon/Cornwall border, Hill View is a spacious, detached bungalow, ideal for those who want to get away from it all. The kitchen/diner has modern oak cupboards, a wooden floor and a huge farmhouse style table. The lounge has patio doors that open onto the garden, a wooden floor with a large central carpet for warmth, comfortable sofas and an open fire. From here you have panoramic views to Kit Hill and Caradon Tor, both local well known beauty spots with excellent walking for the casual stroller or the keen rambler. The Rumpus Room, which adjoins the lounge, has fun leather cubes for seats and books and games for all ages; there is also a pool table in the garage. A spiral staircase leads to a self-contained twin room with its own en-suite facilities. All the bedrooms are light, airy and prettily furnished, each in a slightly different style. Delightful gardens surround the bungalow with lawns, a gazebo and a summerhouse. Just beyond the garden is a fenced paddock where the owner has thoughtfully mown a large area of grass for football or cricket. Dunterton is within easy reach of both the North Cornish Coast and the South Devon Coast around Plymouth. There are several National Trust Houses in the area including Saltram House at Plymstock, Cotehele Manor near Saltash and Trerice House near Newquay. A little further afield are the famous Gardens of Heligan, the fishing village of Mevagissey and the much acclaimed Eden Project, all of which will provide an enjoyable day out.
