Higher Yellands Cottage is situated at the end of a country lane, on the edge of the pretty, peaceful village of Whimple. The architect-designed interior has retained many of the original character features of this traditional cob cottage, whilst at the same time introducing modern high standards in the kitchen and bathrooms. Vibrant, warm, Mediterranean colours are a feature throughout this lovely property, from the tiles in the kitchen to the comfortable suite in the lounge and the soft furnishings in the bedrooms.

The kitchen door opens onto a pretty, walled courtyard, complete with pots of flowers, patio table, chairs and an umbrella. There is a TENNIS COURT adjacent to the cottage, which you are very welcome to use; you can watch the children practise their skills from the Juliet balcony in the lounge.

The seaside town of Sidmouth is just 10 miles away and within a twenty-minute drive are the East Devon coast path and beaches at Budleigh Salterton and Exmouth. Venture a little further along the Jurassic Coast to Lyme Regis and Seaton and try your hand at fossil hunting.

It is only a 15-minute train ride from Whimple station to the lively city of Exeter, which offers excellent shopping, theatres and restaurants. National Trust properties in the area include Knightshayes Court, Killerton House and A La Ronde. For family days out, you can visit nearby Crealy Adventure Park or perhaps Diggerland, a unique adventure park where adults and children can drive real diggers!

Accommodation: Ground Floor: Kitchen/Diner. Bedroom 1 with double bed and en-suite shower room with shower, WC and washbasin. Bathroom with corner bath, shower, WC and washbasin. First Floor: Lounge with single convertible bed chair. Bedroom 2 with 3ft stacker beds (there is limited space in this room when both beds are in use). Bedroom 3 with single bed.

Facilities: Electric Cooker, Microwave, Refrigerator, Washing Machine, Tumble Dryer, Highchair, Barbecue, Parking, Groceries may be ordered in advance, Video Recorder, Colour Television with Freeview, DVD Player, Payphone on site, Shop(1mile) Bus(1mile) Train(1mile) Inn/Pub(1mile) Full Central Heating. Electricity & Heating inclusive high season, Heating Supplement £30 per week out of season. Duvets provided. Bed Linen & Towels inclusive. Pets not allowed.
