Higher House Farm is a superb 16th century
detached property with two acres of gardens and neighbouring
woodland. Just minutes from Branscombe Beach on the Jurassic Coast,
Higher House Farm retains many of its original features. Designed to
a very high standard, all rooms are attractive, spacious and
luxuriously furnished. Woodburners in the lounge and dining room add
to the ambience and two winding staircases lead to the lovely
bedrooms, three of which are en-suite. The master bedroom also has a
seating area with rocking chair and the twin bedroom has a French
door leading to a large lawn. A door from the kitchen leads to the
garden, a sheltered patio with seating and a small barn
conversion/GAMES ROOM with MULTI-GAMES TABLE, television and DVD
player. Also within the extensive gardens are a linhay with table
and chairs, a covered well and a bench with far-reaching countryside
views. A variety of birds and wildlife can be seen in the garden and
woodland, especially at dawn or dusk, including pheasants, rabbits,
badgers, foxes and deer. The owners live in a barn conversion
adjacent to Higher House Farm.

The friendly village pub, the Fountain Head, is great for “a pie and
a pint” and the Masons Arms is perfect for a special occasion.
Branscombe has a Post Office, tennis courts and National Trust
properties, The Forge, Manor Mill and the Old Bakery with tea rooms.
Nearest Coastline: The beaches at Branscombe, Beer, Seaton
and Sidmouth.
Tourist Attractions: Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary, Escot
