Heathside is a detached house, situated in a cul-de-sac in a very pleasant residential area on the edge of Canford Heath. The heathland is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and can be accessed by a footpath not far from the house. The house is furnished in traditional style and has a sheltered, enclosed garden. Bikes can be stored in the garage and the second single bedroom is spacious and doubles as a children's playroom. By car or from the nearby bus stop it is just a short journey to the centre of Poole, which together with its neighbour Bournemouth, offers excellent shopping, museums, exhibitions, restaurants and nightlife. For the conventional seaside holiday there are three miles of golden beaches extending from Sandbanks to Branksome Dene Chine and on towards Bournemouth with its popular pier. Poole boasts one of the largest natural harbours in the world where small craft, yachts, fishing boats and water sports co-exist with the activities of a modern port.

There are passenger ferries to the National Trust's Brownsea Island, Sandbanks, Studland and Wareham. Poole's Tower Park is the south coast's largest entertainment centre offering activities for all the family all year round, with a ten screen multiplex cinema, bingo, bowling and a water park with twelve of the UK's most exciting indoor and outdoor rides, as well as restaurants to suit most tastes. Upton Country Park and Poole Park are lovely venues for a picnic and at the latter the children will love the miniature railway and crazy golf.
