Harbour Cottage has an enviable position overlooking the attractive quay and harbour at Minehead, with a backdrop of lush green countryside. The cottage dates back over 300 years to when the port was initially constructed. Original, preserved features include a large inglenook fireplace, beamed ceilings and a winding staircase. Built on three levels, all the rooms have harbour views. There is parking for one car on the small forecourt and a permit is provided to park on the harbour.

Minehead is a popular seaside resort with a sandy beach, wide promenade and a colourful seafront with family attractions and amusements. Just along the promenade is Butlin's Holiday Park; a day ticket can be purchased to enjoy the all-weather attractions and swimming pools. The harbour is situated in a quieter corner of Minehead, within half a mile of the town centre. The Old Ship Aground is a popular pub near the cottage serving traditional English food. Minehead is at the start of the South West Coast Path, with spectacular scenery as it scales Exmoor's towering sea cliffs and skirts secluded coves and bays.

Nearest Coastline: The beaches at Minehead and Blue Anchor Bay.

Tourist Attractions: Dunster Castle, West Somerset Steam Railway, Tropiquaria Wildlife Park, Exmoor Owl and Hawk Centre and Allerford Museum. Outdoor activities including walking, cycling, horse riding, golf and wildlife safaris in Exmoor National Park.
