Bossiney and its near neighbour Tintagel are places of mystery, myth and magic. In the glorious setting of one of England's most stunning coastlines this is the legendary birthplace of King Arthur. As you climb the path to Tintagel Island you can watch waves break into Merlin's cave and explore the ruins of the 13th century fortress of the Earls of Cornwall. Grange Farm is next to the famous Bossiney mound, which was a motte and bailey castle built soon after the Norman conquests.

According to tradition, King Arthur's Round Table lies buried beneath the circular mound. Inside Grange Farm, in the conservatory, on a lovely, granite topped table you will find a model of the Round Table and its Knights. The conservatory is also home to a six foot pool table, supplied with the equipment for billiards and snooker, as well as pool. Spectators can sink into the leather sofas in the adjoining sitting room and watch the match! Both the conservatory and the dining area of the large kitchen have doors onto the garden, where there are two picnic tables, a gas barbeque and a pond, which has been fenced for safety. An eight foot dining table at the end of the kitchen enables all the family to eat together indoors or out. In the beautiful lounge there are exposed beams and stonewalls, a large electric woodburner and a state of the art flat screen television as well as a quiet corner with leather Chesterfield chairs and a selection of videos and books. This large property was originally two cottages and two staircases lead to the first floor bedrooms. At one end, with stairs from the lounge, are double and twin bedrooms with a shower room and at the other end of the house, via another staircase, are the three other bedrooms and a bathroom. The whole property is furnished and fitted to a high standard and you may notice a "horse theme" running through the house. An interesting picture gallery in the entrance hall bears testament to the owner's love of and success at Three Day Eventing. The stables are not far from the property and, from the garden, visitors can enjoy watching the horses being trained in the outdoor school or shod at the adjacent barn where the farrier works. There are sandy beaches at Bossiney Haven and Trebarwith Strand. Tintagel and nearby Boscastle offer shops, tearooms and restaurants and interesting Heritage Centres. At Padstow or Wadebridge all the family can join the cycle path on the traffic free and very scenic Camel Trail.
