Godrevy Lighthouse shines out over the dune-backed beaches of St Ives Bay. Godrevy View is just a stone's throw from the sheltered sandy beach known as Carbis Bay. It is on the first floor of a development of modern apartments with magnificent sea views, shown in the picture. Inside, it is furnished and equipped to a good standard with en-suite facilities in the master bedroom. From the kitchen, patio doors open onto a balcony where you can sit and enjoy the view. The small local train runs alongside the beach from St Ives, just half a mile away, to Penzance on the south coast. The more energetic can take the coastal footpath on the cliffs above and enjoy the spectacular view as you descend into St Ives, where an enchanting maze of streets lead down to a small harbour, a haven for artists and home of the Tate Gallery. At low tide you can walk along the beach southwards, following the cliffs that back Carbis Bay, all the way to Lelant with its tropical bird garden.
