Ganglands House is a lovely, stone built, waterside property. It is approached via steepish steps from the riverside lane and garage. On the ground floor is a sun room with steps up to the living accommodation on the first floor. The very spacious lounge/kitchen/diner has French doors opening onto a small balcony with lovely views over the river. At the rear is a pretty terraced garden with a decked patio, a pond with a safety grid over it and a double swing chair under the shade of the trees. Across the lane from the house a flight of narrow steps lead down to a small slipway.

You can moor a boat here, or hire one locally. Most of the local inns can be approached by water; fresh crab sandwiches and ale definitely taste different this way! If you can bear to leave this lovely spot there is lots to do and see in the area. The white sandy beach at Mothecombe is just two miles away and spectacular scenery and sandy coves line the South Devon Coastal Path. At nearby Plymouth, there is the historic Barbican, Plymouth Dome and The National Marine Aquarium with its deep reef and shark tank.

Note: Friday changeover. Ganglands House can only be booked with Ganglands from 11 July to 29 August 2008. Outside these dates it is not available. A Ł100 refundable Security Deposit is payable.
