Fisherman’s Cottage is a unique Grade II listed building, with an abundance of character and charm. At over 600 years old, the wonderful undulating tiled roof, cobbled courtyard and intricate stonework stands testament to craftsmen of a bygone era. Inside, the cottage has recently been completely refurbished and although small, is a lovely standard throughout. The open plan living area has comfy leather chairs, flame effect electric fire within a stone fireplace and a rustic dining table and chairs. The cottage is mostly on one level but there is a small step up to the double bed and a steep step down to the shower room. Outside there are four steps leading up to a decked area at the front of the cottage with a bench seat; there is also a sunny patio with seating and barbecue at the rear, both have distant sea views.

The cottage is situated on the main route from Tintagel to Boscastle, within walking distance of Tintagel and the sandy beach at Bossiney Haven. Reached via cliff steps the sea washed beach is popular with surfers and bird watchers. Steeped in magic, myths and legends the area is fascinating to explore and with so much to see and do locally, the Tintagel Visitor Centre is a good place to start. King Arthur’s Great Halls, The Old Post Office, Rocky Valley, St Nectan’s Glen and Boscastle Harbour are amongst some of the many attractions in this dramatic part of Cornwall. A great way to see the stunning coastal scenery is the Heritage Coast Circular walk, which starts from Bossiney.
