Featherbeds Cottage
Featherbeds Cottage is set in a lovely, rural location, just
one and a half miles from the cathedral city of Truro. Comfortably
furnished, this detached property is the ideal base for couples and small
families wishing to explore the delights of Cornwall. The lounge/diner has a
large, arched window and high ceilings, which accentuate the feeling of
light and space. The attractive kitchen is modern with a traditional stone
floor. Upstairs, the double bedroom has an arched ceiling and wooden beams.
An archway (with a privacy curtain) leads to the single room with a balcony overlooking the lounge. For this
reason, the property is not suitable for young children. There is a large garden
overlooking fields, where you can sit and enjoy the balmy evenings. The
owner's gardens are close by and have a deep pond, so children must be
supervised. You are spoilt for choice with beaches, the closest being the
sand and shingle beach of Loe, 6 miles to the south, which offers a
comprehensive selection of watersports. The beaches to the north, about a
30-minute drive, include St Agnes, Perranporth and Newquay and there are
several further sandy beaches at Falmouth to the south. The King Harry Ferry
crosses the Fal to take you to the beautiful Roseland Peninsular and St
Mawes. There are three golf courses and several National Trust gardens, such
as Trelissick and Glendurgan, within easy driving distance. |
