There is plenty of parking on the drive and a covered walkway is useful to
store bikes or surfboards. Access to the property is via an unmade road.
From Trethevy you can walk to the beach via the spectacular Rocky Valley;
the footpath meanders down the valley and meets the coastal footpath.
Tintagel and Boscastle are about 90 minutes steady walking distance with
stunning views along the way. A short walk from Excalibur is the beautiful
hidden valley of St Nectan's Glen and unique 60ft waterfall; only accessible
by foot, it is one of England's most spiritual sites, a place where it is
said men became knights and the waters have therapeutic powers. Enchanting
Boscastle offers shops, restaurants and pubs and there is plenty to discover
in Tintagel, with The Old Post Office, Merlins Cave and King Arthur's
Castle. Dobwalls railway theme park and The Eden Project make great family
days out.
