In a land of breathtaking beauty, the small hamlet of Luxborough nestles amongst steep, wooded hills and fields within Exmoor National Park. With stunning scenery all around and the delights of the Somerset coastline just six miles away, the location is excellent to explore both coast and country. Eve Cottage is in a lovely valley on the outskirts of the village, on the owner's ten-acre homestead and adjoins Picot Cottage. The properties are set in a courtyard, opposite the owner's house and garden, where stands a magnificent 150-year-old monkey-puzzle tree. Eve Cottage was converted from the original sheep-shearing barn. Downstairs there is a cosy lounge and kitchen/dining area with cane furniture. Upstairs, the pretty bedrooms have high vaulted ceilings with exposed roof trusses and pine furniture. There is a small patio with table, chairs and parasol, (two steps lead up to the back door and onto the patio). Within the courtyard is a Games Barn (shared with Picot Cottage) with table tennis, darts and a pool table (coin operated). The room is basic, but ideal for children to escape the adults or vice versa! Exmoor National Park is wonderful to explore anytime of year, on foot or by car.
