The Maenporth Estate is a prestigious development of individually owned properties in 29 acres of landscaped gardens and woodland on the South Cornwall coast, between the Helford and Fal Estuaries. The estate overlooks Maenporth Beach, a pretty, secluded cove with a sandy beach, flanked by green hills and the coastal path. Beside the beach is a bistro restaurant and cafe, with a Mediterranean style terrace, offering excellent evening meals as well as lunch and snacks during the day. Maenporth has a leisure complex for the exclusive use of residents. The centre has an inviting, 15 metre INDOOR HEATED SWIMMING POOL, spa, sauna and sun terrace. The airy games hall houses a pool table and table tennis. A short walk from the leisure centre are two all-weather tennis courts and an enclosed play area for younger children. The estate's woodland has tall Monterey Pines, Cypress, Oak and Beech trees. These provide a canopy under which grow Aucuba, Laurel, Viburnum and Rhododendrons. Nearing the properties, the landscape changes to one of exotic Yuccas, Cordylines, Phormiums and colourful Hydrangeas. The landscaping, the gardens, the leisure facilities and play areas are all beautifully presented and maintained to the very highest standard.

The National Trust owns more than 110 miles of the spectacular Cornish coastline, including that at Maenporth and much of the Helford River's shore. Keen walkers can strike out to Falmouth in one direction or the Helford River in the other. Falmouth's safe harbour and the creeks and inlets of the River Fal provide an all year playground for yachts, dinghies and windsurfers and is now home to the National Maritime Museum. Houses and gardens to visit include Glendurgan and Trelissick and the Seal Sanctuary at Gweek is a favourite with all age groups.

Duck Bay is close to Mew Stone and is of similar, contemporary design. The living room is furnished in attractive pastels and cool creams. The adjacent sun room has a dining table, an additional sofa and large patio doors to a private terrace, which has garden furniture and overlooks the lawns and gardens that run along the back of the properties. There is a private parking space in front of the property and other spaces are available nearby.
