Dean Cottage is a delightful Grade II listed, 16th century
thatch cottage set in the heart of the lovely old village of
Stokeinteignhead. The village is within two miles of the coast, close to
the delights of Dartmoor and only a short drive from the resorts of
Teignmouth, Torquay, Brixham and Paignton. The
village has a popular pub, The Church House Inn,
serving lunches and an extensive evening menu. Recently refurbished Dean
Cottage provides quality accommodation combined with a unique character
and charm. |

The cottage benefits from a large kitchen/breakfast room with views over the
garden, a dining room with television and electric flame-effect woodburner
and an attractive lounge with wooden beams and comfortable leather seating.
Upstairs, the three bedrooms are all exceptionally pretty. To the rear of the
cottage is a fully enclosed garden with garden furniture (there are a
few steps leading up to the garden from the kitchen door). For those
who enjoy walking, bird watching or water sports the location is hard to
beat. Walks can be enjoyed along the local country lanes, and the
beautiful Teign estuary, rich in wildlife and landscape, is within two
miles. The estuary offers the opportunity to sail, enjoy a leisurely
boat trip or experience windsurfing. Explore the picturesque riverbank
village of Shaldon before hopping onto the foot ferry to Teignmouth,
which has a great selection of cafes, shops and pubs as well as a
popular beach, a long promenade and Victorian pier.
