Crook Peak Cottage is one of two holiday properties overlooking the Mendip Hills, in a very peaceful location surrounded by wonderful countryside. Slightly larger than its counterpart, Mendips View, the cottage has views of Crook Peak, (meaning "pointed hilltop"), which features prominently on the horizon at an impressive 628 feet high. The property is comfortable and welcoming with wooden features, a traditional woodburner in the lounge and two luxury shower rooms. The stylish, cherry wood kitchen overlooks the rear garden with patio area and pretty tiered rockery. Being on one level, the property is also suitable for guests with limited mobility. There are neighbouring fields and open farmland to the rear of the cottage, a small pond to the side and a barn to the front.

Children can help feed the owners’ chickens and ducks, there is storage for bicycles if required and dog walking, horse riding and stabling are all available by prior arrangement with the owner. Walking boots or wellies are essential for exploring 40 acres of surrounding woodland. Nature walks and footpaths lead to Loxton village, and there are several excellent country pubs nearby, most of which are pet friendly.

Noah’s Ark Animal Farm, Puxton Park, Tyntesfield Estate and SS Great Britain are all easily accessible. Cabot Circus and Clarks Village are excellent for shopping, or experience stock car racing and mountain biking in The Mendips. For high-fliers, exhilarating helicopter trips are available at a cost by prior arrangement with the owner.
