You get a tantalising glimpse of the sea before descending into the beautiful valley of Crockwood Farm. No longer a working farm, it has a tranquil country setting where you are free to wander through the acres of grounds which include a pine forest, stream and a lake. The top meadow is perfect for children, with a specially built play area with swings, slide and rope ladders to entertain all ages, as well as space for ball games and kite flying. From here, you have a beautiful view of the coastline of Bude Bay and the energetic can walk to the sea. For those seeking peace and tranquillity, there is a walkway through the lower meadow to the lake where you can sit and enjoy the silence. In the spring there are flowers everywhere and this beautiful countryside provides a natural habitat for wildlife.

Bude Bay is right on your doorstep with sandy beaches, some for surfing and some for simply sunbathing, all flanked by spectacular cliffs and rocky ramparts that are the landmark of the North Cornwall/Devon Coast. Bude is a popular seaside resort just two miles to the south and the pretty ancient fishing village of Clovelly is to the north. Local attractions include Brocklands for young children and Killarney Springs, which has animals to feed, boat trips, commando slides and toboggans and is a great family day out.

Coombe Cottage is a detached cottage, the perfect retreat for couples. There are lovely views over the coombe and the two patios catch the sun throughout the day. The cottage has a stable door into an open- plan living area with exposed beams and whitewashed walls. The pretty bedroom has a four-poster bed and an en-suite bathroom.

Note: Non-Smokers Only. This property is not suitable for babies over 9 months.
