Colmer is set in the centre of the idyllic South Hams of Devon, surrounded by 28 acres of grounds, which vary from landscaped lawns and walled gardens to wild woodland and meadows. Add to this a range of year-round indoor and outdoor facilities and you have the ingredients that create the perfect holiday.

The original Coach House is now a detached, single storey cottage. The light and colourful décor and furnishings make it bright and welcoming. From the front lawn and patio you can glimpse the pool through the archway of the gatehouse.

Indoor Facilities: On the first floor of the INDOOR POOL complex is a FITNESS ROOM with a range of cardio-vascular exercise equipment. The small GAMES ROOM has a pool table.

Outdoor Facilities: The OUTDOOR HEATED SWIMMING POOL is occasionally fed by a waterfall, which tumbles over the mouth of a cave. For younger children, there are swings and a large, cabin style Wendy house that has a slide down the roof. Older children will love the Woodland Adventure Play Area and TABLE TENNIS. The hard TENNIS COURT can be booked for games on a same-day basis (bring your own racquets and balls). For less energetic pursuits, you can borrow a set of BOULES or CROQUET for a game on the lawns beside Colmer House. From the croquet lawn, a boardwalk leads through the water garden to the lake, which is stocked for COARSE FISHING with large carp and golden rudd. A minimum of three stands will be available through the year. You will need to bring your own fishing tackle and have an appropriate licence.

Nearest Coastline: Blackpool Sands and Bigbury-on-Sea, from where you can reach Burgh Island on foot or by sea tractor.
