Babbacombe is situated on the outskirts of Torquay, but is still very much an independent little village that retains much of its Victorian charm. It has its own promenade which enjoys stunning coastal views across Lyme Bay as far as Dorset and even Portland Bill, a theatre, shops, restaurants, and of course the world famous Babbacombe Model Village. All this sits high above two beaches and the harbour with footpath and road access. In addition there is the historic Babbacombe Cliff Railway one of only a few original working funicular railways still in existence today, which runs from the cliff top down to Oddicombe beach. Babbacombe leads naturally into the adjoining village of St. Marychurch, which has its own thriving shopping precinct with a wide choice of independently, owned small shops and boutiques. This charming location is ideal for a quiet and peaceful holiday, where you can have a wonderful holiday without using the car.

	Torquay town centre, beaches and marina, Paignton Zoo, and the exciting Quay West Water Park at Goodrington are all accessible by public transport, while Dartmouth and Kingswear can be reached on the steam train from Paignton. Coast View Cottage set on the cliff top with views across the bay is a cosy terraced property, within easy walking distance of the beaches and facilities. To the front of the cottage is a pretty little walled courtyard where you can sit and enjoy a coffee or glass of wine and from both the lounge, and conservatory are stunning views across the surrounding gardens to the sea below.
