Cloister Park is a lovely country house, standing in extensive grounds in the village of Frithelstock. Cloister Park Cottage is attached to the main house with its own enclosed country garden and patio. An attractive archway frames the garden gate from which a short walk leads to the village pub, popular for its warm welcome and good food. The cottage has been decorated and furnished to a high standard in a contemporary English country style. Frithelstock is a wonderful base from which to explore North Devon. There are splendid beaches at Instow and Westward Ho!, the latter bordered by the Royal North Devon Golf Club and the Northam Nature Reserve. Appledore has a maritime museum and narrow streets packed with whitewashed cottages. At picturesque Clovelly, the traffic free cobbled streets drop steeply to the harbour below. Dartington Crystal has glass blowing demonstrations, a visitor centre and factory shops.

The RHS gardens at Rosemoor are renowned for their design and gardening inspiration and children will love the Milky Way Adventure Park. The Tarka Trail provides 21 miles of level, scenic, traffic free cycle track, safe for even the youngest member of the family; you can bring your own bikes or hire them locally.
