Situated in Higher Brixham, Chiseldon Foot Cottage is less than a mile from the heart of this popular town, with a traditional fishing port and a replica of Sir Francis Drake's ship, The Golden Hind. With a variety of traditional and seaside shops, pubs and restaurants, Brixham makes a pleasant change from the hustle and bustle of larger seaside resorts nearby.

Chiseldon Foot Cottage is an attractive, detached property full of character and charm, with low ceilings, leaded windows and an impressive Victorian woodburner in the striking lounge. The kitchen/diner is bright and spacious, with a door leading to an enclosed garden, sheltered patio area, garden furniture and raised lawn. The two attractive bedrooms and bathroom on the first floor are all fresh, light and tastefully decorated. Access to the third bedroom in the eaves is via a narrow staircase from the single-bedded room. With limited headroom, this novel and innovative bedroom is best suited to children rather than two adults.

Brixham, Torquay and Paignton, collectively known as The English Riviera, offer numerous beaches with safe bathing or water sports, designer and high street shopping, local and international cuisine and a huge variety of tourist attractions. The famous Model Village at Babbacombe, Kents Cavern and Paignton Zoo are well worth visiting, or take a steam train journey from Paignton to Kingswear. For an energetic and bracing day out, Dartmoor with its tors, waterfalls and country walks is not to be missed, and Crealy Adventure Park and Woodlands are great fun for all the family.
