Berry Pomeroy is a
small hamlet, surrounded by land belonging to the Duke of Somerset,
in the beautiful South Hams. Chestnut Barn is one of a number of
luxury barn conversions on the edge of the hamlet. Inside, the barn
has an unusual design; the ground floor is on two levels with four
steps leading from the stylish lounge to the bright, contemporary
kitchen/diner, which has French doors leading to a shared courtyard.
To the rear of the property there is an enclosed patio, which has a
garden table and chairs, as well as a barbecue and access to two
acres of communal grounds. Chestnut Barn has a traditional ambience
with thick walls, low-level windows and wooden beams. The main
bedroom has an en-suite shower room and a dressing room and there is
underfloor heating throughout. The ancient market town of Totnes is
less than two miles away; the busy, narrow streets are full of
architectural and historic interest and small individual shops.

There are attractions of all kinds in the local area including:
castles, museums, historic houses, steam railways and the beautiful
River Dart. There are a number of lovely beaches within easy reach
including Bantham and Bigbury, not to mention the more traditional
seaside entertainment at Paignton and Torquay. For a family day out
why not try Woodlands Adventure Park, Paignton Zoo or Sharpham
Vineyard and Cheese Dairy.
