Cheese Cottage is a very pretty, detached, Grade II listed cottage in the small hamlet of Laymore, close to the border of Dorset and Somerset and situated within the grounds of the owners’ 16th century farmhouse. Originally built for the production of cheese on what was once a dairy farm, the cottage has retained some wonderful period features including the original bread oven, cheese cupboards and brick tiled floors. The bright, country-style kitchen/diner looks onto the lovely garden and patio and features a traditional Stanley oven and butler sink. In the lounge a large multi-fuel burner ensures extra warmth for those cooler evenings and there is a selection of board games to enjoy.

	Upstairs, the attractive bedrooms are furnished in pastel shades and are surprisingly spacious and light. Within a short walk you can enjoy the hospitality of the Squirrel Pub, where food is served daily and families are welcome. Nearest Coastline: The beaches at Charmouth, Lyme Regis, Seatown and West Bay. Tourist Attractions: Forde Abbey and Gardens, the National Trust’s Tintinhull House and Garden.
