Just outside Axminster, in a peaceful, rural location, Chattan Forge is an attractive single storey barn conversion. There are a few steps from the parking area down to a pretty patio, complete with tubs of flowers and plants, a patio table, chairs and a parasol. Inside, the conversion has been sympathetically finished to retain all the original character of the barn whilst providing a modern kitchen, a comfortable living area and a shower room for each of the attractive bedrooms. There are some excellent walks from the doorstep, including a footpath to Axminster where the church overlooks the bustling town centre with its many coaching inns.

Nearest Coastline: The beaches at Seaton, Lyme Regis and Charmouth, the pretty harbour at Beer.

Tourist Attractions: Forde Abbey and the National Trust property of Shute Barton Manor. Seaton Tramway. Bird watching on the Axe Estuary. Fossil hunting on the Jurassic coast, a World Heritage Site. Walking and cycling in the Blackdown Hills.
