This delightful 17th century, thatched cottage is set in the heart of the picturesque village of Stokeinteignhead. Carlton Cottage is a cosy, traditionally furnished character cottage. There are beams and sloping ceilings in the pretty bedrooms, which overlook the small courtyard, to the rear of the cottage. Stokeinteignhead has a community village shop and a popular pub, the Church House Inn, which has an extensive menu.

Nearest Coastline: The beaches of Teignmouth, Torquay and Paignton. The harbour at Brixham.

Tourist Attractions: Shaldon and Teignmouth Golf Courses, Paignton Zoo, Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway and cruises along the River Dart with a visit to Agatha Christie's former holiday home at Greenway. Fishing and boat trips are available from Torquay and Brixham harbours as well as water sports and boat trips along the Teign estuary. Dartmoor offers an amazing diversity of leisure activities including hiking, climbing, bird watching, cycling, walking and horse riding.
