Briar Cottage is a charming, detached Gamekeeper's cottage brimming with character, which dates back to 1850. Interesting curios, discovered in local antique shops, adorn the walls of the parlour and rich, green leather chairs, sofas and a woodburner create a warm and relaxed atmosphere in the lounge. Wooden stairs lead up to the pretty bedrooms with beamed ceilings, low windows and rural views. The colourful, half-acre garden has steps leading up to various levels, with a pond, picnic table, barbecue, decking and lovely views. There is a gated orchard and parking across the lane from the cottage.

Situated on the outskirts of the village of Tregadillet, nestled between Bodmin Moor and the spectacular scenery of Dartmoor, the cottage is a perfect base from which to explore the stunning rural landscape of both counties. A short walk from Briar Cottage is the stop for the Launceston Steam Railway. This beautiful Cornish line runs two and a half miles through the scenic Kensey Valley to the ancient market town of Launceston, which has many interesting local shops as well as a weekly farmers' market. The ‘Town Trail’ offers an insight into the local history and architecture of the Norman Castle that dominates the landscape. The stunning North Cornwall coast is within easy reach including Trebarwith Strand, Crackington Haven and Widemouth. There are two golf courses within three miles and young families will enjoy New Mills Farm Centre, with indoor play area and pets corner, just a short walk from Briar Cottage.
