At the end of a quiet lane, just a mile outside the historic town of Shaftesbury, is Bramble Barn, a detached, converted three bay cart shed with lovely views over the ancient woodland of Duncliffe Hill and Blackmore Vale. The attractive cottage is made from Shaftesbury green stone and Gillingham brick with a colourful tiled roof, a patio in the shape of half a cartwheel and stone-faced walls in the lounge. The original openings for the carts have been replaced with floor-to-ceiling windows and a sliding glass door onto the patio. Fields border the large garden and there is plenty of parking on the pebble drive. In the grounds there are reminders of a bygone age - an old cart, a cart wheel and a stone knife sharpener. The lounge/diner has oak floors, black leather sofas, a refectory dining table with pews and an impressive fireplace with woodburner, not forgetting the wonderful views over to Duncliffe; both bedrooms also have rural views.

Dogs must be kept under careful control due to nearby livestock.
