At the end of a quiet lane, just a mile outside the historic town of Shaftesbury is Bramble Barn, a detached, converted three bay cart shed with lovely views over the ancient woodland of Duncliffe Hill and Blackmore Vale. This attractive cottage is built from Shaftesbury green stone and Gillingham brick with a colourful tiled roof, a patio in the shape of half a cartwheel and stone-faced walls in the lounge. The original openings for the carts have been replaced with floor-to-ceiling windows and a sliding glass door onto the patio. Fields border the large garden and there is plenty of parking on the pebble drive. The lounge/diner has oak floors, a refectory dining table with pews and an impressive fireplace with a woodburner.

Nearest Coastline: The beaches at Bournemouth and the Dorset World Heritage Coast.

Tourist Attractions: Longleat House and Safari Park, Gold Hill Museum (made famous by the Hovis advert) and the Spa town of Bath.
