Overlooking the sea in the small, thriving marina
port of Watchet, Beach View is the ideal coastal retreat for couples and
families. This attractive cottage is just a stone's throw from the
village shops, restaurants and pubs and a short walk to the marina,
steam railway and museum, depicting the history of Watchet. The local
area is popular with artists and bird watchers due to the dramatic
coastal scenery and abundant bird life. |

A number of delights await you at Beach View, not withstanding the
wonderful, large, decked patio with far reaching sea views, from which
to relax, sip wine or soak up the sun. The open plan lounge/diner is
furnished with stylish leather sofas, dark wood furniture and sea faring
items, including a ships clock, a barometer, ships lighting, an antique
divers helmet and coastal prints. Sliding glass doors open onto the
patio so that even on blustery winter days the ever-changing moods of
the sea can be enjoyed from the warmth and comfort of the lounge. The
twin bedroom is bright and cheery in shades of blue and the master
bedroom has a beautiful, ornate four-poster bed. Local attractions
include the National Trust castle in mediaeval Dunster and the West
Somerset Steam Railway. Try fossil hunting at Helwell Bay - only half a
mile by footpath from the village. The sandy beaches of Blue Anchor Bay,
Minehead and Dunster are within a short drive. Nearby there is fishing
and golf and for scenic walks and horse riding visit the beautiful
Quantock Hills or Exmoor National Park. Note: Non-Smokers Only.
A £50 refundable Security Deposit is payable.
Barbecues
are not permitted because of the wooden decking.
