Situated in gentle rolling countryside of the Devonshire
heartland is the pretty hamlet of Washfield. Here you will find some of the
finest walking and cycling in South West England via a network of dedicated
footpaths and quiet country lanes. Barn Court Cottage is an attractive,
detached property situated in the grounds of the owner's home on a small
private lane. There is a large courtyard at the
front of the cottages with plenty of parking and access to the
laundry room. The cottage has a private patio with
garden furniture and you are welcome to enjoy the attractive garden, with
picnic tables, a trampoline and a summer house. Just along the lane is an
eight-acre field and a lake. From the courtyard there are four steps up to
the front door, into the kitchen/diner with views over the patio and fields.
The cosy lounge has a selection of board games and a CD player/radio.

Upstairs, the
pretty bedrooms have lovely Egyptian cotton bed linen. Tiverton is three
miles away and has a good selection of shops, restaurants and pubs. The
museum and castle are well worth a visit. Just north of Tiverton lies
the beautiful countryside and stunning coastline of the Exmoor National
Park; explore the area by foot, bicycle or on horseback. Activities
include hang-gliding, water sports, sailing and fishing. The Rose and
Crown Inn at Calverleigh serves excellent food and is about a
twenty-minute walk.
