Winsham is a thriving village on the river Axe, close to the border of three counties and with easy access to the attractions of south Somerset, the World Heritage coast and East Devon. Bamboo Cottage is situated a mile outside the village centre, at Whatley Farm, and is attached to the owner's farmhouse. No longer a working farm, the barns on either side of the farmhouse, including Oak Barn, have been converted into attractive and comfortable holiday homes. Oak floors feature throughout the lovely galley kitchen, utility area (down one step) and lounge/diner where large windows and patio doors allow maximum natural light.

From the lounge a small hallway (down one step) leads to the bathroom with a shower bath. The attractive bedroom is open to the stairs with a vaulted ceiling and views over the nearby fields. Outside bamboo has been planted to provide a natural screen for the garden and patio with picnic table, umbrella and barbecue.

Bamboo Cottage is close to Forde Abbey, a beautiful Cistercian monastery set in 30 acres of gardens. Within a short drive are the fossil rich World Heritage coastline and the popular resorts and beaches of Lyme Regis, West Bay and Charmouth. Chard is four miles away with a good selection of shops and restaurants and Winsham has a local shop, pub and church. The Windwhistle Golf and Country Club is nearby.
