April Cottage is one of five Grade II Georgian houses with stunning views of the sea and countryside, encompassing the Roseland Peninsula and Falmouth Harbour, the third largest natural harbour in the world, renowned for its maritime history and prestigious sailing events. It is rumoured that these cottages were built by a packet ship captain for his five daughters, at a vantage point from where he could watch the activity of cargo ships, tall ships and other sea-faring vessels. Nowadays, naval flotilla, cruise ships, transatlantic luxury yachts and small leisure craft create an ever-changing scene of nautical activity to be admired and enjoyed from the property. April Cottage is set into the hillside with parking close by and steepish steps leading to the pretty patio. It has been beautifully decorated throughout with style and flair creating a very luxurious, relaxing, home-from-home with many traditional features including stone and timber floors, exposed beams, a marble fireplace and a Belfast sink. The spacious lounge/diner, the master bedroom with a wrought iron bed and the single bedroom all have breathtaking views. The kitchen and bathroom have been designed to an exceptionally high standard and offer all the luxuries and facilities of a contemporary home, whilst retaining the ambience and charm of an old cottage. A small courtyard garden provides a secure and sheltered area for a barbecue or for storing outdoor leisure equipment.

April Cottage is ideal for couples or families and is only a few minutes’ walk from Falmouth town centre, which has an excellent selection of shops, restaurants, pubs, art galleries and nightlife. The National Maritime Museum, St Mawes, Pendennis Castle, the gardens of Glendurgan and Trebah or the cathedral city of Truro are well worth exploring and Loe Beach at Feock is a popular destination for sailing, watersports, bathing and fishing.
