Upwey is a pretty, quiet village, just a short drive or bus ride away from the lovely beaches and bustling life of Weymouth. Most of the cottages are built of mellow, Portland stone and bedecked with flowers and hanging baskets, creating a riot of colour in the spring and summer. April Cottage is semi-detached and the interior is as pretty as the outside, with a slight Scandinavian feel created by the use of cool colours and natural wood. From the lounge, French windows open onto a patio shaded by an old tree; you can relax and enjoy the beautiful, shared garden with its manicured lawns.

This is an area well known for its literary connections, Upwey Wishing Well and Old Mill are mentioned in Tess of the d'Urbervilles and the surrounding countryside, Sherborne and Dorchester are all part of Hardy country. April Cottage is ideal for a family beach holiday, or a relaxed, away-from-it-all break.
