Appletree Cottage is a lovely,
semi-detached, thatched cottage in the picturesque hamlet of
Higher Brimley within the Dartmoor National Park. Built on a
hillside there are wonderful far-reaching views towards
Bovey Tracey and Haytor. Inside, the cottage is brimming
with character and charm with thick cob walls, original
leaded windows, beamed ceilings, stone fireplaces and
traditional cottage furnishings. The attractive living room
has a woodburner and wonderful views from the window seats
and there are a few steps from this room to the other rooms
on the ground floor. The cottage has a delightful, rose
filled, terraced garden with a thatched summerhouse and
garden furniture. Stone steps lead through the garden to the
cottage. The market town of Bovey Tracey is a short drive
away with a good selection of shops, pubs and an outdoor
heated swimming pool. Haytor is only a one mile walk along a
country lane, which passes Appletree Cottage.
Nearest Coastline: The beaches at Teignmouth and Shaldon. The
popular South Devon towns of Dartmouth, Totnes, Salcombe and
Torquay.
Tourist Attractions: Becky Falls Woodland Park and the House of
Marbles with glass blowing. National Trust properties and gardens
include Castle Drogo, A La Ronde, Coleton Fishacre and the glorious
gardens at Greenway, the former estate of Agatha Christie. Dartmoor
offers an amazing diversity of leisure activities such as hiking,
climbing, bird watching, walking and horse riding.

The cottage is not
suitable for young children due to the changes in level in the terraced
garden. Storage is available for bicycles.
Parking is available at the rear of the
property accessed via a narrow lane, some reversing may be required.

fuel woodburner. Snug/Reading Room. Kitchen/Diner. Bathroom with bath,
shower and washbasin. Separate WC with washbasin. Storage room with separate
WC and washbasin. First Floor: Bedroom 1 with king-size bed. Bedroom 2 with
double bed.
