The swimming pool is closed during January and February). . The Maen Valley is wonderful for walking and the sandy, sheltered beach of Maenporth is a gentle twenty minute stroll. Maenporth has a beach café and the popular 'Cove Restaurant' renowned for its delicious food. From the beach you can join the South West Coast path and explore the beautiful Helford River, rich in bird and marine life, where lush green fields and ancient woodlands dip down and meet the sea. Gardens to visit nearby include the wild and magical Trebah, and the superb subtropical gardens of Glendurgan. Falmouth is two miles away with safe, sandy beaches, excellent water sports, golf and a great selection of shops, pubs and restaurants and the fascinating National Maritime Museum. Falmouth's harbour is the third largest in the world and ideally viewed aboard one of the many pleasure boats or take a scenic trip to the pretty harbourside village of St. Mawes. Acorns is an attractive, modern property within a short walk of all the amenities. There is a lawned area at the front of the house with three steps down to a small patio with picnic table. The back stable door opens onto a tree-lined path bordering the stream (the stream is not fenced so care is needed with children).
