Situated amidst four acres of meadows and woodland, Acorn Cottage is a delightful, detached property with spectacular views including the impressive King Alfred's Tower on the horizon. South Brewham, situated on the River Brue, retains all the charm and character of a friendly, rural village with two excellent pubs, The Old Red Lion Inn and The Bull Inn. There is also a traditional, village duck pond!

Acorn Cottage has been transformed from a former cattle stall, dating back several hundred years, into a spacious and comfortable holiday home, with attractive décor, furnishings and a traditional woodburner. Doors from the lounge/diner lead to the conservatory and out into the garden, with a secluded patio area and garden furniture. There is a wide selection of books, DVDs, board games and an iPod docking station for guests' use, along with secure storage for bicycles. Kennels are available for guests taking dogs to the property (by prior arrangement with the owner).

	A visit to Stourhead House is highly recommended, with its world famous 18th century landscaped gardens, Palladian mansion and Iron Age hill forts. King Alfred's Tower, an imposing 50 metres high, has spectacular views across the three counties of Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire. Other heritage sites nearby include Stonehenge, Glastonbury and Nunney Castle. Longleat, The Haynes Motor Museum and Fleet Air Arm Museum are fascinating and a steam train journey on the East Somerset Railway is a relaxing way to view the Mendip Hills.
